Tropenbos International works in more than ten countries in the south, through its network of six local members in Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Indonesia, Suriname and Viet Nam, and collaborations with partners elsewhere. Under the Green Livelihoods Alliance TBI carries out projects in Bolivia, Liberia, Uganda and Philippines.
In each country, TBI creates networks between researchers, policy makers and practitioners, and between national and international partners. TBI works on themes that are rel¬evant in a specific national context, and then draw out lessons that are relevant for international policy processes. TBI, network members and partners evaluate the impacts of international policies and approaches in national or sub-national settings, providing a feedback loop to inform global policy debates.
In the past TBI had country programmes in Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire and Guyana. For more information on these programmes please visit the publications section on this website.
